The Washington Wizards showed that the fight against the Celtics isn't over yet, after crushing Boston in Game 3. They need to complete tonight's step in ordered to come back into this series ultimately.
We did tell you that the Wizards are not the same team when playing at home and away, which eventually came out to be true in Game number 3. They are playing on both sides of the court on match higher level, and the energy is fantastic. Considering the Boston Celtics, they come back in the first two games, and we have to say in the second a bit lucky, but this time they didn't stand a chance against the feisty Wizards.
Washington Wizards vs Boston Celtics game 3
The home team improved their defense significantly, and after first two games in which they allowed 120 or more points they tighten up things a little bit and that paid off immediately. Considering their offensive part of the play, they were at their usual level, but we have to mention that John Wall and Bradley Beal both had an awful shooting night combined, making just 11 attempts out of 31.
We were talking that their bench has to be more aggressive. Bojan Bogdanovic took this game into his own hands as he had an impressive double-double, 19 points, and 10 rebounds. Also, Otto Porter was very well with the same number of points. This is the key to their performances in the next games, and if Beal and John Wall have support from other players, we have to say that the Wizards are closer to progress to the finals of the Eastern Conference.
After fantastic performances by Isaiah Thomas, he was limited to only 13 points in this game. Immediately this was felt in the Celtics game because they just didn't have a player who will step up and replace him. That is something that Boston has to overcome because they cannot rely only on a single person in their game.
Also, one critical fact is the shooting percentage. Boston had only 35% field goal shooting in this contest. This a devastating data and it is not the first time this season that the Celtics are displaying poor performances on the road. If they show up tonight and perform like in the previous game, they have nothing to hope for at Verizon center.
Wizards Starting Five
Celtics Projected Starting Lineup
We honestly believe that the Wizards are going to win this one and we see that the handicap is -4.5 points, which is not much for Washington.
Over/Under the limit is 215.5, and we think that this game will go over. The Celtics cannot repeat the awful performance from the night before, while Washington is going to continue in the same manner.
Outcome: Washington -4.5
Over/Under: Over 215.5
